Poll: Rob Ford gaining support in Toronto’s race for mayor

Rob Ford is taking an ever-larger lead in the race to replace Toronto Mayor David Miller, according to new poll results released by Pollstra Research on Wednesday.

Pollstra surveyed 432 residents  between July 30 and Aug. 5. The results are as follows:

  • Rob Ford: 37.6%
  • Joe Pantalone: 15.5%
  • Rocco Rossi: 7.9%
  • George Smitherman: 28.7%
  • Sarah Thomson: 10.3%

Roughly one third of respondents (32%) are  undecided as of yet.
